Running Costs

We aim to make your buying experience as easy as possible, therefore to be able to budget accordingly, it is important to be aware that when buying a holiday caravan or lodge there will be additional running costs to consider.  Click here for funding information.

These running costs are reviewed annually in October/November each year for the following season and may be increased to reflect changes in costs as set out in section 8 of your Licence Agreement. Please be aware that these can vary from park to park.

Pitch Fees

The annual Pitch fees may vary according to the pitch size and park and are payable in advance and are due on or before 28 February. Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT. Payment requests will be sent out early in the New Year and your prompt attention to this would be appreciated.

You may prefer to spread your payments over a number of months by standing order. In normal circumstances this would commence in November.

Insurance

All owners must have an adequate insurance policy. This can be arranged through Surf Bay Leisure as we have access to policies specifically designed for owners of holiday homes. If you choose to arrange your own insurance cover, this must be on a ‘new for old’ basis and a copy of the insurance certificate (policy document) must be provided.

Electricity

Electric services are metered; the park will read all meters at the end of the season for charging purposes. You will be invoiced from our head office at Winkleigh on a annual basis, at the rates charged by the local suppliers and prescribed by the Office of Electricity Regulator (OFFER).

Gas

At Surf Bay Holiday Park gas bottles (cylinders) can be ordered & purchased from the park reception throughout the season. Gas cylinder charges include delivery & fitting. Gas at Silverbow & River Valley Country Park is metered, this will be read and charged for at the end of the season.

Water charges and local authority rates

Charges for Water/Sewage disposal services and local authority business rates are included within the pitch fees.
